Description

Phoenix Cottage is a former timber-framed pair of dwellings, likely dating from the 17th century. It is two storeys high with two windows on each floor. The roof is tiled with an old ridge stack. The walls are weatherboarded, and it features 19th-century single-bar casement windows. The cottage has plain doors, with tiny pent roofs sheltering both the doors and ground floor windows. It was formerly known as Green Cottage and Rambler Cottage, and was previously listed under those names, as well as under references to its former owners, Mrs D Campbell.
