Description
11 Main Street is a cottage that was formerly two dwellings, dating from the 17th or 18th century, with alterations made around 1800. The building is possibly timber-framed and is encased in colourwashed brick, standing on a rubble stone plinth. It features a Welsh slate roof with a central brick ridge stack. The cottage has two storeys and includes two sets of 3-light centre-opening casements on the upper floor, with cambered lintels above the ground floor. There are two plank doors located at the far left and right of the building. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams that feature ogee and V stops. Although it is suggested in the Victoria County History, Volume V, that the structure is timber-framed, this is not clearly visible.
