Description

No. 5 Main Street is a cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century, which was raised by one storey and extended in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a section of rubble stone and features a Swithland slate roof with brick stacks at the right ridge and left end. The building has two storeys and includes two sets of 2-light horizontal sliding sashes with cambered lintels, as well as 2-panelled shutters on the ground floor. There is a 4-panelled door located to the centre left and a plank door on the right. The area between the doors on the ground floor is made of rubble stone. Additionally, there is a buttress on the right end of the cottage.
