Description

Mount Pleasant is a house, now divided into two cottages, dating from the 17th century, although it was significantly altered in the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed and has been clad with red and blue brick, with weatherboarding to the rear. It has a plain tiled roof, with a stack positioned centrally to the right, projecting from the ridge. The front has three glazing bar sash windows on the first floor, and a single glazing bar shop window on the ground floor to the left. To the right of the shop window are two glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. The front features doors consisting of six raised and fielded panels to the left and right, and a 20th-century extension projects to the right.
