Description
Mount House is a house that dates back to the 17th century, although it was refaced in the early 19th century. It has a timber frame that is clad with mathematical tiles and features a plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high with a basement on a plinth and has a parapet. There are stacks that project and are offset at both the left and right ends. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, with three glazing bar sashes featuring moulded boxes on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all topped with gauged heads. The central door has raised and fielded panels, a rectangular fanlight above it, and a pediment supported by scrolls. To the right, there is an opening for the basement, and the house has hipped rear wings.
