Description
Chart Place Cottages is a farmhouse that has been converted into two cottages, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of chequered red and grey brick and features a plain tile roof. The building stands two storeys high with a garret on a rendered plinth. There is a plain wooden eaves band and shaped gables, with a central brick ridge stack. The west gable end includes a two-light pivoting casement window for the garret, a narrow rectangular window on the first floor, and a small casement window on the ground floor. A boarded door is located at the center of the gable end, sheltered by a flat bracketed hood. There are also two boarded doors on the north elevation. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages form the south side of an open courtyard.
