Description
Church Farm Cottages is a farmhouse that has been converted into cottages. It dates from the 17th century or earlier, with a facade added in the 19th century. The building is timber framed, with the ground floor covered in red and grey brick laid in Flemish bond and the first floor finished with tarred weatherboarding. It has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high. The left half of the building is set on a brick plinth, while part of the right half rests on a galletted stone plinth. The roof is hipped on both sides, with a lower ridge over the right quarter. There is a small projecting brick stack at the left gable end, a brick ridge stack slightly to the right of the center, and a small projecting stack at the right end. The windows are arranged irregularly, featuring four openings: three are 2-light casements from the 20th century, and one is a 4-light window. There are two ribbed doors, one located towards the left end and the other beneath the stack. A lean-to is present at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
