Description

A row of cottages, likely dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, originally part of Wirksworth Workhouse. The ground floor is constructed of red brick on the left, with the remainder of the facade using chequered red and grey brick. The first floor is tile-hung, and the roof is covered in plain tiles, with a half-hipped design. The building sits on a stone plinth. There are two brick stacks: a multiple stack to the left of the centre and a projecting stack at the right end. The windows are irregular, with four casements, comprising three 3-light windows and one 5-light window. There are three boarded doors: one to Wirksworth at the left end, and two adjacent doors towards the right end. A rear lean-to extension is present. The interior has not been inspected.
