Description
Heaven Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It is timber framed, with the ground floor featuring painted brick infilling between broadly spaced studs, while the first floor is rendered. The roof is covered with plain tiles and the building stands two storeys high on a stone plinth. There is a continuous jetty supported by solid brackets, which stops short of the left end, and it has a plain applied fascia board. The continuous eaves are supported by a later brace at the left end. A multiple brick ridge stack is located towards the left end of the roof. The windows are arranged irregularly, consisting of three small casements: a single light to the right of the stack and two two-light casements. There is a door located at the right gable end, and a rear lean-to is present. The interior has not been inspected.
