Description

Brushings Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame with a ground floor made of painted brick and fishscale tiles on the first floor. The roof is covered with plain tiles and is steeply pitched with a hipped design. The building is positioned at right angles to the road and has two storeys resting on a painted brick plinth. There is an off-centre brick ridge stack located to the right. The front has an irregular arrangement of three 2-light casement windows, and a ribbed door is situated slightly to the left of the stack. At the back, there is a lean-to and a short two-storey extension to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
