Description
Ripple Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the early 17th century or earlier, with a facade from the 18th century and alterations made in the 19th century. The rear wall is cement rendered above a lean-to and may be timber framed. The front elevation features a chequered pattern of red and grey brick, while the right gable end has been rebuilt. The roof is covered with plain tiles and the building has two storeys and an attic, set on a brick plinth. There is a plat band and a projecting brick stack on the left gable end. The front has a regular arrangement of five windows, which are 12-pane sashes set in open boxes. The ground floor windows have rubbed brick voussoirs. There is a blocked two-light ovolo-moulded mullion window on the first floor at the rear. The central entrance features a half-glazed door with a segmental head and a flat bracketed hood. The rear includes a lean-to. The interior has not been inspected.
