Description
Woodcut Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century or earlier. It is timber-framed with rendered infilling, and the ground floor of the right-hand bay is underbuilt with painted brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The house has two storeys and attics, and stands on a stone and brick plinth. The first floor displays exposed, broadly-spaced timber studding with a tension brace to the right end. The roof is hipped, with the right-hand hip returning. There is a projecting brick stack at the left end and a multiple brick ridge stack towards the right end. Two hipped dormers are visible on the right return elevation. The windows are irregularly placed and consist of two 2-light casements. A blocked door is located beneath the left-hand stack. A painted brick and rendered lean-to is attached to the left side, with a boarded door on the left side of the lean-to. A short return wing is located to the right, with its facade rebuilt in the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
