Description

Mansion House Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber-frame and plaster construction with a plain tile roof. The external stack is made of stepped rubble and has twin diagonal brick chimneys on the left side, while there is a twin brick stack on the rear wing. The building is L-shaped in plan and consists of three bays.

The exterior has two storeys and a three-window range. On the left side of the first floor, there is a four-light casement window, and to the right, there are two two-light casements. The frame includes passing-braces. The entrance is located to the centre right and consists of a 20th-century plank door. There are also two three-light casements with simple hoods, two fixed lights, and a moulded bressumer.

On the left returned side, there are two 19th-century two-light casements and a fixed light. The right returned side is roughcast. The rear wing has various 20th-century lights, a 19th-century two-light casement, a pentice-roofed porch, a rubble lean-to, and a 19th-century single-storey rubble outshut with a hipped Welsh slate roof. This section also features a brick ridge stack, two plank doors, 19th-century lights, and a two-light metal casement. The interior has not been inspected.
