Description
Netherhall Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with some of the framing exposed on the front wall. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and the building has two storeys. Originally, the house had a rectangular plan, but it now features later wings at the rear. The front has a four-window range, with 19th-century transomed casements and 20th-century casements. There are two 19th-century two-storey bay windows that have semi-octagonal roofs. The entrance is highlighted by a stucco door surround with a flat hood supported by brackets and pilasters. The house has an original red brick chimney stack with attached diagonal shafts, as well as an original end wall chimney stack. A 19th-century brick wing has been added to the rear. Inside, there is a mix of original and 19th-century detailing, and the roof features side purlins.
