Description

Forge Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a red plain tile roof. The north wall is weatherboarded. The building has two storeys and features a double range plan with a central chimney stack. There are two window ranges with 19th-century casements. The central entrance has a boarded door flanked by fluted pilasters and is topped with a flat canopy supported by brackets. The original chimney stack is made of red brick.
