Description
Witchcot is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century, constructed with a timber frame and wattle, partly rendered, with rubble and a plain tile roof. It features a rendered ridge stack and an 18th-century brick corner stack on the right front. The building has an L-shaped plan and consists of two storeys and a cellar, with irregular fenestration that includes three 18th or 19th-century casements, some with leaded lights, and two wood mullioned openings. The central entrance, which has a missing door, is located behind a rubble gabled porch and is flanked by two 19th-century casements, with an opening and plank door to the left. On the right side, there is a blocked doorway to the first floor and two-light casements, along with a 17th-century wing at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is believed to be of considerable interest.
