Description
The stable block at Sutton Court is a building from the late 18th century or early 19th century, constructed of brick with a plain tile roof featuring three gables at the front and a brick end stack at the rear. The building has an H-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall, with a three-window range. The windows are metal with small panes of old glass and upper casements, set under brick segmental arches. There is a band at the gables with circular recessed panels and brick gable parapets. The central carriage entrance is flanked by plank doors with metal overlights and similar windows, all under segmental arches. On the left side, the building features sandstone rubble with brick panels and two shuttered openings, along with a two-light leaded casement under a brick segmental arch on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected. This stable block forms a group with Sutton Court.
