Description
Stagbatch Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with additions from the 17th century and later alterations. It features a close-studded timber-frame construction with plaster, topped by a steep-pitched Welsh slate roof that has three distinct roof-lines. The west side has a massive rubble end stack, while the north wing has a rubble stack with a brick chimney. The building has two storeys and a varied arrangement of windows, including 19th and 20th century casements and a late 19th century three-over-three sash window. The north and east sides are jettied. The southeast front is made of 18th century brick with pilaster buttresses and has two tiers of 20th century casements beneath gauged brick flat arches. The north wing, which is from the 17th century, has some brick infill, two 20th century dormers, and two 20th century doors. The interior has not been inspected.
