Description

The Steps is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a high brick plinth, with brick infill panels and some areas of brick rebuilding. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a central stack made of engineering panels supported by straight braces. The front of the house has two windows with casements and gabled attic dormers. There is a central 20th-century boarded door with a bracketed and gabled hood, which is accessed by a flight of steps. The left gable end displays an overhanging collar and tie beam roof truss that includes close studding. The interior has not been inspected.
