Description
Ravenshall House is a house dating from the early 17th century, which was remodeled in the early 19th century. It features a timber-framed rear wing with brick infill panels and a principal range made of red brick, topped with a plain tile roof. The building has a brick ridge stack, an integral end stack, and a sandstone lateral stack on the rear wing. The main range has a baffle-entry plan and a rear wing that forms a T-shape. It is two storeys high and has a three-window front with casements; the ground floor windows have segmental heads. There is a door to the left of center with a bracketed gable, and C20 garage doors to the left. The gabled rear wing has an overhanging first floor supported by brackets, with closely spaced studs interrupted by a middle rail. Inside, one room features wall panelling and a 17th-century plaster frieze depicting trailing foliage and acorns.
