SUTTON VALENCE LOWER ROAD TQ 8049-8149 (south side) 7/143 Candy Cottage and Townwell Cottage GV II

House, now 2 cottages. Early C17 or earlier with C19 facade. Ground floor painted brick, first floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Hipped roof, hips returning with lower ridges. Brick ridge stack to left of centre, with another stack behind. Irregular fenestration of 2 casements; one 4-light and one 2-light. Boarded door with shallow hood under stack, to Candy Cottage, and half-glazed door to Townwell Cottage to right side. Short right and left return wings. Interior not inspected.
