Description
This barn, located about 10 metres south-west of Greenway Forstal Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weather-boarded, standing on a stone plinth, and features a hipped corrugated iron roof. The barn has 19th-century canopied double doors and rear doors in the second bay from the right, along with a loading door on the left gable end. Inside, there are four timber-framed bays and front and rear aisles. The arcade posts rest on wooden cills, with those at the front on stone or brick plinths. The arcade posts have gunstock jowls and arch braces, and there are curved passing shores. The roof is a clasped purlin design with diminishing principal rafters.
