Description
This barn, located to the east of Green Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is timber-framed and covered in weatherboarding, sitting on a painted brick plinth, with a roof made of corrugated metal. The structure consists of five bays and features a central cart entrance. The wall frame includes full-height diagonal braces and lacks a midrail. It has a double queen-post roof with two sets of purlins. The upper collars span between the central queen posts, which interrupt the lower collars. There are several curved braces supporting the tie beams, and some timbers have been reused, including part of a window that may date back to the 16th century.
