Description
Church Cottages comprise three cottages located on the north side of Church Street in Southfleet. Numbers 2 and 3 incorporate a Wealden house with an unusually long service wing to the south. Number 1 is likely from the 17th century, with the entire group restored. The cottages are timber-framed with plaster infilling between the framing, set on a base of red brick and flints. They have a hipped tiled roof. The cottages are two storeys high and have a total of seven windows. Modern casement windows are fitted. The doorcases have modern hoods. The first floors of the two easternmost window bays of the easternmost cottage and the western window bay of the central cottage project outwards on brackets. The cottages occupy a prominent position to the right of the entrance to the church.
