Description
Church House is a 16th century or earlier timber-framed building that has been refaced in the 18th century with red brick and grey headers, except for the first floor of the westernmost window bay, which is now weatherboarded. The building has a tiled roof that is hipped at the west end and features a gablet. There is a 17th century brick chimneystack. The structure includes a modern bay on both floors at the east end, making a total of three bays. On the first floor at the west end, there is one casement window with a shed beneath it, while the other windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars. The entrance is accessed by three steps leading to a doorcase with a flat hood over and a door made of four fielded panels. Additionally, there is a weatherboarded outhouse portion at the east end, which has a 19th century shop front (currently not in use) in its east wall.
