Description

The building is a former vicarage, now a public library, dating back to the 18th century with an earlier core. It is constructed of painted brick with a plain tiled roof. The roof features a moulded wooden eaves cornice and three hipped dormers, with chimney stacks located centrally to the left and at the end to the right. The first floor has four glazing bar sash windows of varying sizes, while the right side of the ground floor has two tripartite sash windows. A canted bay window is situated on the left side. The main entrance is a door of six raised and fielded panels, with a semi-circular fanlight, positioned within a boldly projecting porch. The porch features wooden masonry-block return walls, a fluted frieze, and an open pediment supported on panelled pilasters with entablature blocks.
