Description
No. 2 Church Street is a house that features an 18th century exterior but has a core that dates back to the 17th century or earlier. The building is timber framed and is clad with painted brick and tile hanging. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys high, with a basement and attic above a plinth. The hipped roof has a brick dentil eaves cornice and a central chimney stack. There is a flat-roofed dormer on the roof and also on the right return. The windows are arranged regularly, with two glazing bar sashes on each floor. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door set in a panelled surround, topped with a pediment supported by pilasters, and is accessed by two steps. Additionally, there is a basement opening on the right return, a glazing bar sash on the first floor, and a wood casement with a half-glazed door on the ground floor.
