Description

Cumberland Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It has a timber-framed structure with the ground floor clad in painted brick. The building is two storeys high and features a continuous first floor jetty with a plastered fascia. The roof is hipped with gablets, and there is a separate cross-hip at the right end bay, which sits on a plinth. To the left, there is a freestanding brick and rubble stack, and another stack is located between the two roofs on the right. The cottage has four windows, all of which are 19th-century sashes, along with two 19th-century segmental bay windows on the ground floor and a central door from the 20th century.
