Description
Burgoyne's is a Wealden house dating from the 15th century. It features close-studded timber framing that is partly exposed, set on a flint plinth, with painted brick cladding and plaster infill. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has two storeys, with a jetty on the first floor supported by brackets at both the left and right ends. The roof is hipped and includes gablets and a stack at the left end. The building has four bays; on the first floor to the left, there are two 20th-century wood casements. The central bay is recessed and has a 20th-century two-light casement behind arched braces that support a flying wall plate, with a three-light 20th-century wood casement to the right. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century segmental bay windows to the left and a single light window also to the left. The central entrance features a 20th-century plank door with a sidelight, and there are garage doors to the left.
