Description

Thydon Cottage is a house, originally three cottages, dating from the 18th century. It is located on the south side of The Street in Chilham. The building is constructed of chequered brick with a plain tile roof. The design incorporates a plinth, a modillion eaves cornice, a hip roof to the right-hand side and a gable roof to the left, with a central chimney stack. The two storeys feature three windows, each with glazed bar sashes, and the ground floor windows have gauged heads. Three doorways are set within gauged depressed arches; the central doorway has a 19th-century six-panelled door, while the other two doorways have been blocked.
