Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a former pair of cottages that has been converted into a single dwelling. It dates from the 17th century and features a 20th-century extension on the east side. The building is timber-framed with a thatched roof and has one storey with an attic. The front (south) elevation includes one dormer above five windows and a doorway. The roof is half-hipped, lower on the narrower east side, with eaves raised above the dormer. The exposed frame, which has plaster infill, is mostly from the 20th century, as are the casement windows and the half-glazed door. At the rear and west end, there is original exposed framing, with plaster filling in the upper part and painted brick in the lower section.
