Description

Paige Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has undergone restoration in the 20th century. It features a timber-frame construction with flint and brick, topped by a thatched roof. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and has four windows. It has a half-hipped roof with eyebrow dormers and a catslide at the rear. Most of the upper wall displays exposed framing with plaster infill, while the lower wall and the south side have horizontal panels of flint, accented by brick quoins, bands, and a plinth. The windows are leaded casements. There is a plain doorway with a boarded door, which is sheltered by a thatched canopy supported by posts. Near the doorway, there is a stone inset inscribed with "I P 1701."
