Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage located on Chalkcroft Lane in Penton Mewsey. The building is flint and thatch, oriented at a right angle to the roadway. It is one storey high with an attic, and has three windows on its south-facing front. The roof has a catslide at the rear and raised eaves above the windows. The walls are flint with brick quoins, displaying an irregular pattern of bands and vertical details. The windows are casements, and there is a French door. A small, 20th-century one-storey addition with a hipped thatch roof is located at the south-east corner.
