The walls have rusticated corners, with brick and flint quoins, and there is a projecting band of flint at the first floor level, along with hood-moulds over the ground-floor windows. The windows are casements. A timber porch with a gabled thatch roof and a half-glazed door adds to the charm. There is also a small detached service building that matches the style of the cottage.
