Description

Lane Cottage is a cottage built in the late 18th century, with some early 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of flint, brick, and thatch, featuring a rendered wall and a pantiled roof on the wing. The building has one storey and an attic, with three windows on the main façade, and a single-storey extension with one window on the south side. The roof is half-hipped, and the upper gable on the north end displays an exposed frame, while the eaves are raised above the upper windows. The walls consist of thin horizontal flint panels, accented by brick quoins, bands, and a plinth. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door set in a plain frame, topped with a simple hood supported by brackets.
