Description

This is a cottage built in the early 19th century, with 20th-century extensions. It is constructed of brick and cob, topped with a thatched roof. The front is symmetrical, featuring one storey and two windows. The roof has low eaves and is lowered further to cover an open porch. The red brickwork is laid in Flemish Garden Wall bond, with cambered openings. The windows are cast-iron casements, and there is a four-panelled door with a trellis framework above curved low flank-walls leading to the porch. The north gable includes an attic window above a lower window, with cob walls. The rear wall, facing the road, is also made of cob and has a small window. To the south, there is a single-storey 20th-century extension with a low-pitched corrugated iron roof.
