Description

West Hill is a house dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and tile, featuring a symmetrical front on the north side with two storeys and five windows above two. The roof is plain, with a catslide at the rear and brick dentil eaves. The walls are made of blue bricks arranged in header bond, accented with flush red dressings, including quoins, a first-floor band, and a plinth that has been cemented. The ground floor has been altered, with two windows on each side of the central doorway replaced by a wider single window beneath a cambered arch. The other walls are built in Flemish bond with blue headers. The windows are casements, and the entrance features a half-glazed door in a plain frame. Additionally, the lower rear wing concludes with an enclosed verandah from the early 20th century.
