Description

This is a cottage, originally a pair of dwellings, dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century and restoration in the 20th century. It is built of brick and tile. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and has an irregular arrangement of windows. The roof, which replaced a thatched one, is half-hipped at the east end and hipped at the west, and it slopes low over a small 20th-century projection. The walls are built in a Flemish bond pattern, with cambered window and door openings. There are diamond patterns made of flint above the openings and arranged vertically between them. The windows are casements. A 20th-century brick porch with a tile roof has been added, and some doorways have been filled in.
