Description

This building is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with early 19th-century recladding. It is constructed of cob and thatch, featuring a timber-framed structure consisting of three bays. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with three windows. The roof is half-hipped, and the eaves are raised above the upper windows while lowered to cover the open porch supported by posts. The walls are roughcast over the cob, and there are small casement windows. The entrance features a boarded door in a plain frame. Inside, the cottage retains remnants of the original timber frame, a massive chimney breast with a bread oven, a lobby entrance, and a boarded door at the rear inscribed with "S. Perrett 1834."
