Description

Laurel Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on Chalkcroft Lane in Penton Mewsey. It is a single-storey building with an attic, featuring four windows facing south. The walls are rendered and the roof is thatched. The west gable, which faces the road, is half-hipped and displays an exposed timber frame in the upper part, with raised eaves above the upper windows. The walls are plain with a plinth, and the windows are casements. There are wooden porches with a slate roof and decorative detailing to the gable, featuring vertical boards on the sides.
