Description

Sycamore Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the south side of High Street in Thurleigh. The building features a colour-washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and has a thatched roof with the gable end facing the road. It has a two-room plan, with a third room added towards the road. The cottage is one storey high with attics, and the east elevation includes three dormers. All windows on the ground floor and in the dormers are casements with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century gabled porch, and the cottage has two gable end stacks and one ridge stack, all made of red brick.
