Description

16 and 18 High Street is a house dating from the 17th century, with extensions from the 19th century and alterations made in the 20th century. The earlier south wing features colourwashed rough cast over a timber frame, while the north wing from the 19th century is constructed of brick with a colourwashed rough cast exterior. The building has a thatched roof and is designed in an L-shape, consisting of one storey and attics. There is a red brick ridge stack that serves a back-to-back hearth in the earlier block. The windows are all 20th-century casements, and there is a 20th-century porch on the east elevation.
