Description

Hillside Cottage is a cottage dating from about 1700. It is built with a timber frame, now colour-washed, over a rough cast surface. The roof is pantiled. The cottage has a 3-room plan and a single storey with attics. The south elevation features a 20th-century bow window at ground floor level, and a 2-light horizontal sash window with glazing bars. There are two gabled dormers in the attic, each with a 2-light horizontal sash window. A red brick ridge stack, serving a back-to-back hearth in line with the front door, is visible. A door is located to the left. A 20th-century extension has been added to the east gable end.
