Description

The Cottage is a timber-frame cottage, originally dating to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It is constructed with timber framing, plaster infill, and brick rebuilding and additions. The cottage is one-and-a-half storeys high, with three bays, and incorporates an outshot to the left end and a 20th-century porch to the front of the right bay. A planked door is situated in the centre of the porch. Two 19th-century two-light casement windows with segmental heads are located in the centre bay. Two two-light casement windows are present in the left timber-frame bay. The roof is half-hipped to the right and hipped and swept down to the left. A large central chimney stack has been rebuilt in the 20th century, and a stack is located at the right end.
