Description

Butler Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations in the 18th century. The structure is timber-framed with colourwashed brick infill and has a thatched roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic, spanning four bays, with the right bay being a later 18th-century addition. The central bays contain a three-light leaded window from the 18th century, and to the left of centre is a 19th-century stained glass window. To the right is an 18th-century planked door, and the left bay has two-light casements. A three-light casement is set within the eyebrow gable above the left-hand centre bay. The roof is hipped and features a large central stack.
