Description
The Thatch is a cottage dating from the 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and colourwashed brick infill, with weatherboard cladding to the outshot, and has a thatched roof. The cottage is one-and-a-half storeys high and originally had two bays, with an outshot to the left. A planked door is located to the right of centre. There are 17th-century leaded oriel windows on a single cut bracket to the right on both floors. A small 17th-century two-light casement window is at the left end, and above it in the centre of the bay is a two-light casement. A six-pane casement window is in the outshot. The roof is hipped and sweeps down to the left, with a central ridge stack.
