Description

Grandfathers is a house dating from around 1700. It is constructed of brick with an old plain tile roof, and tile-hung gables. The house is two storeys high and has five bays arranged in a single pile. The central entrance features a six-panel door sheltered by a moulded broken sediment hood supported on cut brackets. Above the door is a two-light casement window. The remaining windows are cross windows, all with leaded lights set within rubbed brick arches. A first-floor string course runs along the elevation, and there are moulded coved timber eaves. The roof is half-hipped, with a central ridge stack, a projecting stack on the left end, and a stack behind the ridge to the right.
