Description
The Farmery is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is timber-framed with brick infill and rebuilding, with some areas rendered or weather-boarded, and has a thatched roof. The L-shaped timber-frame is two storeys high and originally comprised two bays, with a further bay to the rear to the left, and a 20th-century single-story addition to the rear beyond that. The front elevation incorporates a 20th-century gabled brick porch on the left, with a door on the right side, and a brick wall rebuilt in the 19th century, displaying two 3-light casement windows. Above, the timber-frame section contains two 18th-century 3-light casement windows. The roof is half-hipped to the left and has a gable end rebuilt at the right, featuring an early 19th-century stack.
