Description

A 17th-century house, with refacing and an extension dated 1719, that was later divided into a pair of cottages in the early 20th century. The building is timber-framed with brick infill and has a thatched roof. It originally comprised three bays, with a further bay added to the left. The front of the building is arranged over one-and-a-half storeys and two bays for each cottage. C19 planked doors are set between the bays, providing access to each cottage. The left cottage has two-light casement windows with cambered heads, while the right cottage has two-light leaded casement windows. Above, three large two-light casements are set within eyebrow dormers, and a smaller two-light casement is located in an eyebrow dormer to the right. A stack is positioned over the right-hand door, and another at the left end of the original buildings. The roof abuts other buildings at each end and incorporates a ridge piece.
