Description
Bacton Thatch is a small house dating from the mid-18th century, with a rear extension added in the 1980s. The building is constructed of brick and features a thatched roof. It is two storeys high and has four bays arranged asymmetrically, with a rear outshot that was enlarged in the 20th century. The doorway is located to the left of centre and contains a 20th-century four-panel door set within an 18th-century frame, topped by a rectangular fanlight. The end bays feature 18th-century 12-pane flush frame sashes, while the inner bay has a similar 16-pane sash, all of which are adorned with cambered brick arches. Above, each end has two matching 12-pane sashes, and in the centre, there is a 19th-century canted oriel window with sashes. The roof is hipped to the left, with a ridge piece and a stack located at the right end and another behind the ridge near the left end.
